Upon reflection, this trip was about so much more than running.
Half of us had done this before. We knew the game. We knew the challenge. Different location, same stakes. Same rules. None.
This is The Speed Project.
For us, this race was about far more than the miles. It was about womanhood. About relationships. About dynamism and sovereignty. About choosing the challenge again and stepping into it together.
These are women who continue to strive for more. Women who challenge their minds, their abilities, their beliefs. Their norms.
The status quo. Women who refuse to remain where they are told to stand.
This trip was about reclaiming the night.
It was about intergenerational connection.
It was about us. Women.
We took the open roads of the United States, ran through the vastness of Nevada and finished beneath the lights of Las Vegas. Yet the real journey unfolded somewhere between the dark highways, the desert sunrises, the laughter in the van and the quiet moments alone on the road.
What a beautiful journey it was.
